Dear friends, Events in Manchester last week have rather overshadowed happenings closer to home, but we are continuing to work to bring people together in friendship. Let us all resolve never to give up hope but to remain strong, offering kindness, compassion and respect to everyone we meet.

Venues we were going to use for our Faith Trail and our picnic we now find are booked to other events but we are working to find suitable alternative dates. Please watch out for announcements by email and in Facebook.

Please make a note of our AGM in September at the New Mechanics Institute on South Sherwood Street. This will be on September 19. There will be votes for officers and a discussion on Peace and Diversity. Make sure you have paid your membership if you want to vote.

Our 'Come Dine' event in April was a success with several comments of appreciation. We will be holding the next one on October 11.

In November we will see Inter Faith Week, and we have two of our popular events taking place - the Listening Experience on 14th and the Talent evening on November 21.

Other events are being arranged by some of our faith organisation members and we will bring you details of them when we have them.
